Live, 1/2 NL, Nut Flush Draw
Villain is fairly loose based on a small sample.
Stacks: Hero $210 Villain $120 Hero is dealt A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] on the button. A few limpers Hero raises to $15. One limper calls. Flop, 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 2 players ($30) Villain bets $30, Hero raises all in. Is this standard? If I were covered, would it be? If yes to the above, at what effective stack size does this stop being standard? |

Re: Live, 1/2 NL, Nut Flush Draw
Anyone? I felt that while fold equity was small it was good for like 10% so 9 outs twice + fold equity put total equity around 45%. Also the A and K were prob good for another 2 outs after discounting.

I think it's standard. If we started with 100bbs I'd push as well. If you shoved here all the time at 45% equity you can expect to make $18 per hand

Re: Live, 1/2 NL, Nut Flush Draw
This is standard. If you were covered, you could either make a normal raise to $90 and then shove regardless of the turn, or shove now. Any deeper than 100-110 BB's, and shoving seems a bit overzealous.
BTW A or K here usually are outs, and that would give you 6 of them, not 2. In many cases your equity here is very good, as you have 15 outs twice and are thus a small favorite a lot of the time. |

Re: Live, 1/2 NL, Nut Flush Draw
Agreed with FireStorm. I think you're looking at AK being live outs most times. Depending on the player (and the hand, obviously) I think you may have even more fold equity than 10 percent, as well. Shove and be happy.
Edit: I reread and saw you felt the player was loose - you're probably right on the fold equity then. Still shove. |
