Where's the Toronto poker contingent...?

Just moved back to Toronto after a long time in the US, excited about reconnecting with old high-school friends.
Hmmm...got here and it seems that old HS friends move/get married/stop remembering who you are when u go AWOL for 10 years...

Anyway, looking to just get to know the poker scene up here in toronto, be it trips to Niagara/Brantford/Rama, home games, or just getting together with other 2p2'ers up here for a beer. Shoot me a PM or jump in this thread.
(p.s. i'm downtown; barrie/orillia/sudbury etc /= toronto)

Now that you've made it to Toronto, try relocating to Vancouver. Here we've got poker rooms that make the Toronto area dumps look like the wannabe's they really are. And it's just a couple of hours to Vegas, baby.

Toronto = Minneapolis without the good looking girls.

I'm in Hamilton, let me know if you're making a Fallsview trip before September when I start work again. Also, there's tons of underground clubs in Toronto. Let me know if you're interested in going to any of them (admittedly I've never been to any of them yet ha).

If you are looking for no-limit...probably go to Niagara. I can't speak for Rama since I haven't been there.

If you are looking for limit...go to Brantford. A great poker room.

Q: what's the highest LHE and NL games they spread at Niagara? Haven't been and want to know what kind of roll i'll need for the big-stakes games.

Oh, also a noob question -- I take it that Casino Niagara and Fallsview are two different casinos, right? Am I right that Fallsview has a bigger and better poker room? Is it a nice hotel too and do they have a poker room rate? e.g. good place to stay with the g/f?

Fallsview is by far better for poker than Casino Niagara.

LHE up to about 50/100 at Fallsview, NL up to 10/20. 5/10 NL runs a table or two just about every day.

Fallsview is probably a pretty nice hotel, but there are at least 4 high class hotels literally across the street from it, including Hilton, Embassy Suites, Marriot ... Embassy suites is good

I'm a true noob (~6 months playing) and play mostly at the Blue Heron in Port Perry one day a week, but occasionally at Rama. The BH only offers Limit HE, no NL. On weekends when I play, there is 5/10, 10/20 and 20/40 running. They also generally seem to have a 20/40 Omaha running.
