Re: yucky QQ spot
I really hate a spot like this but reads would help (me at least). If he's a passive guy I typically b-f. If he's an aggressive guy I'd feel compelled to c-c. If he's tweenish/unk I probably c-f. I don't know who I'd b-c against.

Re: yucky QQ spot
If you can't fold to a raise here, you should really just check/call. Putting in two bets on this river is really bad. Bet/fold or check/call depends on the player, but make sure only one (or zero) bets go in on the river.
If this guys an unknown I check/call and make a note. |

Re: yucky QQ spot
I would weep a little when the river came and then c/c. In my experience bad, passive players will think this is a good place for a bluff and bet. If I bet I don't think I would call a raise.

Re: yucky QQ spot
First we cant c/f here. The alternative is c/c, b/f or b/c.
I would B/f when i can trust villain. Because i cant see a worse hand calling this river there should be no value in a bet. I think villain can semibluff a worse hand but not call it. Given this my line here is c/c against unknown and b/f against solid players. |

Re: yucky QQ spot
I seem to get bluffraised on 4 flush rivers more than any other so I wouldn't bet/fold. There aren't too many worse made hands likely, worse pocket overpairs should put in more action, not many 2x 5x hands in his range. It's possible he has A3/A5, or decides to bluff his A2 anyway, or called the turn with ace high no draw or something and decides to bluff, so I'd check/call.
