Default Yankees Joba Rules

Does anyone else think that these "Joba" rules are a little outrageous? For every one inning he pitches (granted he is a reliever this year), he has to sit out that many days before his next appearance...I understand they are thinking long term for him and don't want to risk any injuries this season, but they are making a playoff push and I think they could use more of him in relief. what do you think?

Post in Yankee thread. Don't start a new one.

The answer is: No. They are not outrageous and if the Yankees need it, I would bet they will be bent or broken later in September.

I'd be willing to bet that his success so far is due in part to these rules, and the simple fact that he's running hot. They will be broken

its not just being cautious with a rookie pitcher, its being cautious with a premium arm with a rather significant injury history.
