Default Anyone have Stox\'s DVD set?

Apparently, 2 of the DVDs cover NL Holdem, and 2 cover limit holdem. It's available now for 64.95.

Also, who are Krantz and Nick Weatherall? Krants has a shorthanded NL DVD set "coming soon," and Weatherall has a NL tourney DVD set "coming soon."

I have Stox's set. Very enjoyable but not nearly as instructional as say, Dave Fromm's awesome set. It is basically Stox playing a number of hands and talking you through them and nothing more.

would you say it would be worth purchasing just for the NL content?

Hard to say since I know very little about NL hold 'em. I am purely a shorthanded limit cash game player and I bought the DVD's for the limit information alone. From that perspective they are nothing extraordinary. NL wise, I don't feel qualified to comment really since I find that game so confusing. (I hate the idea of having to fold AK on a board of A83 based on a player read following an all in push. In limit you are pretty much calling down no matter what).

I mostly agree with this. (I'm a SH limit player too.) You can see my non-review review here.

Certainly don't bother with these if you are a member of the Stoxpoker site where Stox has (coincidently?) released two videos replaying the same hands in Pokertracker that he discusses in the DVDs.

Which deal is better or gives the most bang for the buck? if you subscribe, you have an upfront costs and a monthly. I believe but you get new stuff. If you buy the DVD's it is a one time fee and you can watch them multiple times.
