Default Pokerstars VS. FTP Players

I recently made the switch to Pokerstars from FTP, and maybe it's just me, but i noticed that the skill level at PS is a lot lower when compared to FTP... well, thats just IMO, anyways... just curious to see if anyone else thought the same?

LHE, up to $2/4: a little looser, more passive.

I agree. I recently switched to FT from PS to clear a bonus and I think there are a lot more TAG type players at FT, especially in non peak times, which is mainly when I play so it makes it a bit harder. But I think when you find some fish they are equally as bad, you just have to be more careful about table selection.

I read this as a proposed grudge match... each site selects a team and they go at it.... that would be AWESOME (to watch)

I think it depends on what kind of games you like to play in.I like to play in more tagish or lagish type games that have a lot of aggression and have alway done better in them. So i find that tilt is an easier site for me then stars.

You should mention what stakes you're playing. I just moved to FTP from PS (play 25 NL 6-max). I've only played about 1,000 hands this weekend and I've found I have less success stealing pots, but have been getting payed off more on my strong hands. I've gotten min-raised a ton and have also been 3-bet preflop more than I'm used to. Maybe it's a weekend thing, but I wouldn't say that it's harder, just takes some adjustment.

well on ftp i played everything from $10 - $25 NL. i also played $6 + .5 Turbo SNGs. I dunno it seems like i got sucked out on a lot more at FTP. a FTP vs PS grudge match would be awesome... too bad the respective companies wouldn't allow it... i don't think.

You guys should make the move from party to PS, i encountered 1 decent player at 10nl at party and around 5 decent players at 25nl (over 25k hands)
There must be 25x the tags at PS than at party...
Was a bit OT, but yeh, my 2c
