Ron Paul Assassination?
If Ron Paul were to win the Republican nomination, what would you put the chances of him being killed before election day? (Either by overt assassination or something more sneaky like poison in his food)

Re: Ron Paul Assassination?
100%. The rich elite would probably rather have 4 to 8 years of a democrat than 4 of Paul.

Re: Ron Paul Assassination?
Is this really what passes for Politics post on this forum? Seriously, it is not 1964 and you are not a 12-year old girl and Ron Paul is not the Bealtes. Just try to compose yourself for a minute and look objectively at political reality. |

Re: Ron Paul Assassination?
I went with 0-20%. They're not gonna assassinate him so long as there's a chance for the Dems to beat him. I'd choose a higher percentage if the range was his first term as president though.

Re: Ron Paul Assassination?
Nicky, clearly my post, and I presume this thread are somewhat tongue in cheek. However, the posts do address the fact that Ron Paul says and believes in things that ruffle the feathers of the status quo. He strikes me as a man that will not pull any punches and give you his honest to God opinion on a subject. His directness is not something that people are use to, and is not something generally liked by most people. Wouldn't surprise me if there were people right now that wanted him dead. But, I think the same could be said for Bush and probably Clinton when he was in office.
