Street by Street: NFD with very deep stacks multiway
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $3/$6 5 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $1,784 CO: $497.45 Button: $1,549 SB: $659.25 Hero: $1,716 Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#cc0000">UTG raises to $20</font>, CO folds, Button calls, SB calls, Hero calls. Flop: Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($80, 4 players) SB checks, Hero????? UTG -LAG -running about 40/33 preflop -makes a move at pretty much every pot he plays -seems to be a thinking player but is just way overactive and doesn't know when to tone it down -I've been running good and getting the better of him this session but that hasn't seemed to deter him. Button -25/17 -seems like a mediocre TAG, haven't seen him play a big pot yet. -has made some pretty bad postflop plays, ie bad payoffs, valueless bets, but they were both in small pots. SB -TAG, overly loose OOP. I thought this was a very interesting flop spot, as I can see merits in pretty much all of my options. Please note the stack depth when you comment. |

to win the pot [/ QUOTE ] 4 ways on this board you think my fold equity is that big? Also if I had a super strong hand why wouldn't I c/r the overaggro preflop raiser given my relative position? |

Re: Street by Street: NFD with very deep stacks multiway
check/calling turns your hand face up. you dont want to do that.

Re: Street by Street: NFD with very deep stacks multiway
Unless you have a history of donking into PFR with these villains I think checking is right. You are too deep to b3b this flop. If UTG cbets and everybody else goes away you can c/r him.

Re: Street by Street: NFD with very deep stacks multiway
i like a lead but not for the reasons that if you check call your hand is face up which i disagree with, but not totally.
a lead looks very strong you could have a set and be charging any flush draws, plus you build a pot with a nice draw and you can stun some marginal but better hands into just calling because you look so strong. if utg raises you could put in a three bet or just call depending on what the people behind do. being so deep you might be able to out muscle him with the bet/three bet cause he prob doesn't want to go broke with an overpairish hand considering how strong that line would be. a c/r is good cause you get to see what happens from the ppl behind utg but they know he's aggressive and might be willing to put in a raise if he cbets which would price you out whereas if you lead they may be more inclined to just call with a hand like kq or aq. i'm leaning towards a lead. |
