I guess I still don't get it [img]/images/graemlins/blush.gif[/img] I suppose there are a few hands I am ahead of that he may call (99, 77?, maybe AK?). But mainly I think I am ahead at this point so I am trying to protect my hand. If I knew he had AK, is trying to take the pot down on the flop never a good strategy?

What is the plan for the turn? If a blank comes and he checks do I bet? If a J-A comes and he bets do I fold?

if he checks you check most of the time. if its a J-A you need to decide if he's aggro enough to bluff-shove the scare-card. Most often at 100NL they aren't until proven otherwise. Prob folding most turns if he continues betting. if turn checks through, evaluate river based on action/board.

if thats your read then you played it perfectly. Noone is going to tell you the perfect way to play this, when you have TT/JJ on this board it's just difficult you have to play some poker.

That makes sense. Some nights I actually have a similar thought process [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] I'm new to cash games so it's far from automatic at this point though.
