Plugging leaks/getting a pair
I think situations like this are a massive leak in my game and also the cause for a higher W-SD stat in relation to the rest of them. My standard line is to play them really weakly. on the plus it keeps the pot small but just about everything else is terrible. What line do people usual take for boards like this and similar?
in this hand vilain is a bit fishy, calls too much and folds to cbet about 60% of the time. not too aggro (dont have stats as having problems with hud) Prima Network No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (6 handed) Hand History converter Courtesy of PokerZion.com saw flop|saw showdown SB ($81.53) BB ($138.16) UTG ($102.93) Hero ($123.25) CO ($107.13) Button ($188.80) Preflop: Hero is MP with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. 1 fold, Hero raises to $4, 1 fold, Button calls $4, 2 folds. Re: Plugging leaks/getting a pair
The turn is basically checked through imo. I would usually just make a standard vbet on the river. The way you played it is not horrible really. We can't really get 3 streets of value from a 1 pair hand anyway.

Re: Plugging leaks/getting a pair
Bet stronger on turn, 1/2-2/3 pot. Check to button on river when spade draw misses to induce bluffs. Keeping the pot small is the right idea with this hand but you need to charge the draws and so the river is the right street to check. You were lucky your opponent sucks. |

Re: Plugging leaks/getting a pair
why check turn? if he has 66 he's going to reraise you anyway. Better leading that turn. You're ahead of his range and turn is a standard vbet.
