Default I 3bet preflop, and the pot comes down J high..

Villain has been tight over 50 hands or so runnign around 17/15/2. Comments on the flop check? With a hand like QQ which is vulnerable to A,K turns should I be betting this flop? Is getting it all-in here -EV?

As played, what is your flop line?

Party Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.25/$0.50 Blinds - 5 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

SB: $75.96
BB: $72.70
UTG: $112.88
CO: $62.59
Hero (BTN): $50.56

Preflop: Hero is dealt Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (5 Players)
UTG raises to $2.00, CO folds, Hero raises to $7.00, 2 folds, UTG calls $5.00

Flop: ($14.75) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
UTG checks, Hero checks

Turn: ($14.75) 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)

I'd bet here, as I would like to make a hand like AK pay to draw out on me...I would probably put it somewhere in the $8 range, which may be a little light, but I'd like AK to hang around, too.

I would check the flop here if I really thought that a bet would scare off the villian. However, with a tight-player open-raising from UTG, I don't think that play is necessary here. His range is somewhat narrow and I think a free card can really, really hurt you based off of that range.

As played, you can still raise the turn and not be totally committed. He most likely bet because he "senses" weakness. I think a decent re-raise will get the job done. If he re-raises all-in, I think you can safely fold.

*grunch*
I'm betting this flop, about 2/3 pot.
But if he doesn't fold, I'm shutting down pretty quickly.

Where's our value coming from after our flop bet gets called or raised? 88-TT are in his range, but will he call another bet with them?

If u cbet most flops, why not bet this one? I think I would just call turn, that lead there from him (based on solid not tight stats) would make me somewhat weary, and probably just call again on the river if he fires again on a blank.. I'd like to here more comments on the plan on the turn/river because this is a fairly unusual situation for me with such a strong hand..
