How can I tell what type of RAM I have

Hi,

My comp is kinda old I got it in 2004, on the case the sticker says 512 MB DDR SDRAM @ 333MHz. So this would work assuming I have space for it?

Form factor-wise you are good. Just make sure your motherboard can support a 1 GB stick (not guaranteed with a rig that old). Note: "Supports 1 GB (or 2 GB) of RAM" is not that same as "Supports individual 1GB sticks".

You are probably fine, but better to find out now than after you buy the RAM.

I'm pretty sure the Critical website has an app that will look at your system and tell you what you have as well as make a recommendation for upgrading.
