Default NLH Chances of 2 people hitting trips on flop

NLH 3-handed

Button folds
SB Qd5c
BB 7h5h

Flop 5d9h5s

How do you calculate chance of these 2 people in 3-handed game getting dealt same downcard and both hitting trips on flop?

Does someone know a good site or a guide for how to calculate chances in NLH in general? I didn't see a sticky for this forum.

Use combinations.

There's exactly two 5's left in the deck. There are 46 other cards that could make up the third card. So that's 46 possible flops with trips.

The total number of flops that can be dealt with the 48 undealt cards is 48c3 = 17296.

46 / 17296 = 0.00265957447

So this will happen about 0.00266% of the time, which is 1 out of 376 times.

To learn more about how to do these sorts of calculations, Google for keywords like "combinatorics" and "probability".
