Default Poker in Costa Rica. Anyone played there lately?

I was just wondering if anyone knew how the cash games are in Costa Rica. I play mostly NL holdem cash games up to the $5/$10 level thus far. Are the games as soft as in the US? I know they used to have a healthy poker player base in Costa Rica...is this still true? Is NL holdem even the game of choice there? I know the cost of living is a little lower down there...does anyone have an opinion on whether or not it would be easier to support a professional or semi-professional lifestyle in Costa Rica?

Last time I visted this amazing country I wasn't old enough to play. I wouldn't mind making an extended trip back if playing poker significantly is a viable option.
