advice on this chess game?

hi everybody,

im new to this POG forum. a little bit of background....i was fairly serious about chess when i was 9 or 10 years old. travelling to regional youth tournaments and such. im 24 now and have always played casually w/ friends but just lately i'm getting back into actually working on my game.

this is one i played recently on yahoo. i played black and ended up winning but i felt like i was in some pretty sticky spots early on. any advice would be appreciated. specifically after 4. e4 im not too sure how to best proceed.
