Re: shoving over a limper w/ 11BBs
No this is bad, I'll shove at least AT+, 88 and a little wider.
Please put the buyin in the subject. |

Re: shoving over a limper w/ 11BBs
Unnecessary. In general, I like the pushing over a limper move, but not with 39o. If you feel MP2 will fold, then you can do this with a wider range of hands than you might originally think about, but you still need to have something for those times when you do get called.

This is bad and unnecessary, just wait for a better spot. He is allowed to pick up good hands occasionally.

Re: shoving over a limper w/ 11BBs
forget this play. if he's limping that wide, he's probably limping big hands too. also, these guys call wider than they should. you can't push over with air like you have in this hand. here's how I approach push overs:
against players like this who limp a lot like this guy and a decent stack (>10BBs or so), you need to be pushing with a range of hands that beats his calling range. For example, if you think he'll limp Ax and call with any of them, you probably don't want to be pushing over him with less than AT or so. If you think he's only going to call with AT+, you probably only want to push over with AQ or so. Same with pairs, if you think he's calling any pair, then push over with 88+. I'm sure there's a better way of figuring it out but this has worked for me and kept me out of trouble. Now, when you have less than 10BBs or so, you need to start thinking more about the FE you have with him. Then start pushing over with hands like T9s, KJ+, and more depending on how often you think he folds. You might not want to include small As in that range though as he's much more likely to call with a larger A especially since you are short. Also keep in mind the number of people after you to act keeping in mind that they are going to give you credit for a bigger hand than you might actually have since you're pushing over someone. |

[/ QUOTE ] Nice post Kibby I go wider depending on there raising range. If they're 30/0 then you need keep it tight, but if they're 30/10 you have more FE. I don't think I've ever opened up to pushing 9Ts, but against the right villain it might be good. |

Re: shoving over a limper w/ 11BBs
I dont like the spot you have chosen for shoving over the limper.
As Kibby and Bhokie1 said I would push with AT+ and all PP above 77. At least I would like to have a little something if he calls so depending on the game I would sometimes push suited conectors like JT, JQ, KQ or at least 9T |
