NL400 another KK hand.
I swear you than i'm not plaing more than 1k hands/day at 400. Anyway each time I see a flop with KK it seems that I'm in deep [censored].
Shorty is the usual donk. Haven't played much with the full stack. Something like 17/12/3 after 100 hands. Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $2/$4 Blinds - 8 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter) SB: $386.25 BB: $420.00 UTG: $94.20 UTG+1: $252.35 Hero (MP1): $600.50 MP2: $402.35 CO: $156.70 BTN: $409.20 Preflop: Hero is dealt K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (8 Players) 2 folds, Hero raises to $16.00, MP2 folds, CO calls $16.00, 2 folds, BB calls $12.00 Flop: ($50) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 Players) BB checks, Hero bets $36.00, CO raises to $76.00, BB calls $76.00, Hero ? Do i push to try to isolate the shorty or should I call? |

Re: NL400 another KK hand.
BB has played passively and looks to be on a draw or weak made hand so i really dont mind a push here.

Re: NL400 another KK hand.
I'd just chuck them in tbh. Shortie is bound to call and BB quite likely has a draw. He could also have AQ or something that beats you (though it's an odd play if he has), and nothing worse (barring a monster draw) will call, but the pot is already big and so many bad cards can hit.

Re: NL400 another KK hand.
Why 36 into a 50 pot 3-way on a drawy board? Bet more on the flop.

Re: NL400 another KK hand.
Seems like a push to me. SB pretty much has to call, hopefully we are beating him.
BB will be getting about 2:1 on a call I think, so he might have to consider it. You have a spade so if he has just a pure FD, he'd be making a mistake if he did call since he only has 8 outs. If he had the NFD, he'd be making a good call since his aces are outs too. But this is all assuming the SB doesn't already have a monster. In any case, it seems like a push because SB is a donk and BB has played passively so there's no reason to beleive we are behind right now. |

Yeah I think this is a push as well.

Re: NL400 another KK hand.
Push it in and then get out your little shark LED toy and run around the room shouting you are the king. That's what classy players do.

Re: NL400 another KK hand.
Just a question.
What would be wrong about doing a "stop and go" type play on this hand? Call the $76 and see the turn. The stacks would be BB = 328 / Hero = 508 / CO = 64. If the turn wasn't a spade or J,Q,10,K then your safe to push. If it is a scare card your in a great position. Either the BB bets enough to push you out because it must be more or equall to $64 of the CO stack, so you can fold. Or he checks and you get to see what he does after the CO bets which will most likely be all-in for $64 into a $276 pot. I think making your move on the turn holds the most value, it allows you to force the other people into making much larger mistakes. |

Re: NL400 another KK hand.
I think pushing the flop gives the BB a much tougher decision. He is getting almost enough odds to call with a draw. He might call or fold incorrectly. If you push on the turn he will pretty much have a clear fold.
Now if you check the turn and the CO pushes and then BB calls and then you push, that might be an OK result. So I guess if you call the flop, you should probably check the turn regardless and let the SB push in. This of course relies on the SB to do what you want, which you never know. This is a more conservative method, but i'm not so sure it is more EV. I don't know, I think it is just a judgement call here, I don't know if there is a clearly best answer, but I think I favor the push. |

Re: NL400 another KK hand.
am I the only one that thinks you should call here an fold if BB donks the turn?
