It depends what kind of site you want to make.

But google "html tutorial" if you want the most basic info.

mason - thanks. Something for 12 year olds might work for me.

I sadly admit to trying some of the cut-and-paste stuff via GoDaddy and Blue Voda and running into road-blocks that made me want to take a hammer to my computer.

I have seriously considered signing-up for a class at a community college or something since I assume such classes exist for total computer morons like me.

My occasional subtle tilt at poker has NOTHING on my monstrous tilt at technical or computer problems.

Micro,

What are your goals?

You're a teacher, right? If you're creating pages for classes, or family/friends/personal use, I'd advice just learning HTML and playing with it some. Some things can definitely be maddening, you just gotta stick with it.

If you're trying to do something more formal, then as well as learning HTML, you'll want to learn CSS, and maybe look into getting something like Dreamweaver.

If you're not afraid to try some programming, check out www.rubyonrails.org. You can build some really cool stuff pretty easily. I'm a big fan of it after probably a year or so of use. Feel free to pm if you have more questions, etc.
