Default Holy sh-t, can we talk about that burned kid?!?!?!?!

Oh my God! That was the most horrifying thing I think I've ever seen on TV, period. I can't believe there wasn't a disclaimer before they aired that. I can't imagine living looking like that.

I was completely floored. The most shocking thing I've ever seen on a poker program by a country mile.

One of the segments in ESPN's day two WSOP broadcast showed a kid with significant burns to his face in a triumph-over-adversity bit. His face was so horrifically burned, it was almost impossible for me to look at the screen without feeling significantly ill.

I agree it was a little startling, but try to think what that was like for the kid. I mean he knows how people react to him but yet he has the courage to go on national T.V

Maybe Im alone on this one but I give him kudos to be able to have the courage to do something like that,I know I would never be able to go through what he does day after day. As far as the poker show goes I am getting tired of seeing the sob stories over and over.

J-Mac, you're a superficial a-hole. Jesus Christ, he's a human being, not an object.

I feel nothing but empathy for the child, and can not imagine what his life has been/will be like. My heart goes out to him and his family, and the struggle they must endure. But I would be stunned if someone did not think that was among the most shocking things they've seen on TV.

I really don't care what they put up. It's their show. But to the degenerates who get drunk and watch poker on tv, why the hell would they try to put a kid who probably doesn't want the attention on their show?

This is a screenshot of the kid. Don't view it if you're squeamish.

No. The "C" logo is an alternate logo for "Full Contact Poker", which is Daniel Negreanu's business.
