Default in a dilemma

So my friend's account is locked so he asked me if he could use mine. His friend just transferred him 2k to my account and it's just sitting there right now since he's out at a ravens game. Little background story on my friend:

Back when party was still up in the US, I went on a bit of a heater and ran up $50 to 7k in a week. I also had 3k in royal vegas and 2k on ftp. My friend used to play on my account and would give me cash if he lost or I would cash out and give him cash if he won.

One night after a 20 hour session, I fell asleep and woke up at 4am. I noticed my friend had called me 3-4 times over the last 3 hours. I just figured he called to see what I was doing. I go log into party poker and i had $0.30 left. Then I log on to royal vegas and I have $0. Same thing for ftp.

So I end up calling my friend and he goes "I'm sorry I went on monkey tilt and blew it all. It's okay though I'll give you the money when I get my 20k check from pokerroom". Well that check got held up somehow and it took him 3 years to pay back my 12k (in small pieces). So I'm thinking maybe I should do the same thing to him and maybe take 6 years to pay back the 2k to him. What's my play?

Cliffnotes: Friend blew 12k of my online roll couple years ago and took 3 years to pay me back unlike his promise of couple weeks. I have a chance to do the same to him but only for 2k. What's my play?

Why is it that these kind of stories always appear from people with less than 100 posts?
