400nl : TPNK+FD on turn oop
villain is 30/14 over 35 hands. no real reads on his postflop play yet.
I found this spot to be pretty awkward given stack sizes. what is the best way to proceed here? also, do you prefer a different line on the flop or is this bet (and size) okay? I would check-call and probably check-fold a blank river and lead or check-raise depending on how many players that are left on the river. |

WTF is the point of betting that flop? I need to hear OP answer this. [/ QUOTE ] tbh i dont know. i usually raise Axs from any position pf, but i can't remember a time in the last 200k hands ive played that ive raised Axs up front pf and had 3 callers. i actually kind of just froze up when i saw the flop. figured it was pretty dry and i could just bet/fold pretty comfortably. but as i said, suggestions on a better line are welcome. if you prefer a check i assume its to c/f? |

[/ QUOTE ] Raising pf is fine. The flop is what I'm asking about. And no, check is not for c/f. It's because we are wa/wb. Betting gets worse hands to fold and gives more money to better hands. It's the absolute worst of any option. What hand exactly are we getting value from on a flop that is as dry as a dead dingo's donger? And what better hands will fold? And if you are betting/raising for info, you need to re-evaluate that play cuz it sux like ass through a straw. |

[/ QUOTE ] well i didnt like my play in general in this hand, thus why i posted it. assuming i do check, how am i responding to a psb, 2/3psb, 1/2psb? or are you pretty much just saying that i would be better off checking and see what happens, and act accordingly based on the bet size and any reads on the bettor? |
