Do you stack off here?
Full Tilt $1.00 Buyin
Blinds 50-100 Hero 8500 CO 4900 BB 12400 Hero is UTG+1 with A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Hero open-raises to 400, CO and BB call. Pot is 1250 Flop: K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] BB checks, Hero bets 1125, CO shoves for 4500, BB flat calls. Hero??? I feel as though I have CO beaten - he has been very aggressive, I put him on probably a weaker K, but BB, with the biggest stack at the table has gotten there by calling with garbage out of the blinds at least 3 times and stacking opponents. What does his flat-call on this board mean? It would not suprise me to see him show up with A-2 here at all - do you just stick it in, or fold this down? |

i beat him into the pot [/ QUOTE ] Why do we go ahead and shove on an opponent who has shown an affinity for calling with garbage out of the blind and who has checked and then flat-called a bet and all-in reraise on a board where he could not possibly have a reason for doing so without a deuce? What else could he be flat-calling this with? Doesn't it appear that he is hoping that I will do just that - shove it in? Does he flat-call with A-K also? Wouldn't he go ahead and shove all in on me after the reraise if he held AK? |

Re: Do you stack off here?
you say he plays garbage. its a 1.10 buyin. he can and will do this with A high, any king, or maybe even a pocket pair. i didnt see the flatcall but i still go allllin. in a micro you cant put someone precisely on a 2 by action
but we all know you only posted this cause you went in and he had a 2, so oh well |

Are you asking us how to avoid losing AK on K22 flops?

Re: Do you stack off here?
i guess you could say they both have weaker kings, but then you're suggesting all four kings are live on this hand. if you have a read on BB that he is stacking people and has made similiar moves in these type of spots, then i'd call, but otherwise it just looks like he is trying to persuade you into getting your money in too.
this all comes down to your notes, past hands, and your read on BB. |

Are you asking us how to avoid losing AK on K22 flops? [/ QUOTE ] Um, I guess I'm asking if it is correct to fold after the reraise and flatcall on that kind of a board. What does the flatcall usually mean? That is what I'm trying to determine - what types of hands are showing up here, and should I be folding or not? When an opponent flatcalls on this board, what kind of hand does he have, usually, and what is the best play? |

Re: Do you stack off here?
you can not assume, in a 1 dollar donkament no less, that if someone cold calls a bet and a raise, its a huge hand. sure it is some of the time, but its often not. this is a king so often, or even a medium pocket pair...
but you wouldnt have posted this if he didnt have the 2 |
