FTP message: The system cannot log you in
This morning I tried logging on FTP and received a login error message stating the system cannot log me in and to contact FTP support. I'm awaiting their response to my e-mail but thought it may be quicker to ask here.
After googling the error message it seems like many people had to wait upwards of a week for a reply from FTP support. Is PM'ing FTP Doug to resolve the issue quicker a poor idea? The only reasons I can think this would happen is my roommates and I share a network and occasionally log on the same computer. All of the accounts are unverified and I occasionally transfer small amounts for them to donk around with. |

Your account has been closed due to fraud etc.

Re: FTP message: The system cannot log you in
There hasn't been any fraudulent activity associated with my account as far as I know. My roommate occasionally plays <$10 sng's and mtt's while I strictly play ring games.
The only other reason I could think of is that I've transferred funds to a few people in the P2P Transfer thread. But that was months ago and I stopped after hearing your account could be closed if it's associated with a scammer. |

Re: FTP message: The system cannot log you in
Ugh, this is such a beat. This is the reply e-mail I received from FTP:
[ QUOTE ] Thank you for contacting Full Tilt Poker Support. Following a thorough investigation of your account, we have determined that you are closely associated with players who we have received chargebacks from on our site. This is considered fraudulent activity. We found that you have repeatedly logged into computers associated with this user. For security and privacy reasons, we are unable to release the names of the accounts that have been deemed fraudulent. To maintain the security of the site and for the protection of our players, Full Tilt Poker has zero tolerance for fraudulent activity. As you are a high risk player, your account will remain suspended until they are able to resolve their issue with us. [/ QUOTE ] I lived in a fraternity house for six months with 30 people that shared the same networks. It wasn't uncommon for me to log on their computers to transfer funds if I was hanging out in their rooms. Why should I be responsible for the actions of another individual? I'm not sure what the hell to do now. They said my account will remain closed until the person resolves the chargeback issue. They won't release any details so I'm not sure who the person is or what I could possibly do about it. Even if I do find out who it is, who am I to step between the financial disputes of a friend and my bank/employer? (FTP) |
