Default c/r bluff on river ... whut u think?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $2 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Button ($247.95)
SB ($300.40)
BB ($198)
UTG ($157.25)
Hero ($232.65)
CO ($200)

Preflop: Hero is MP with 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
1 fold, Hero raises to $8, CO calls $8, 3 folds.

Flop: ($20) 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets $14, CO calls $14.

Turn: ($48) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, CO checks.

River: ($48) 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $16, Hero raises to $76,

Only read is that villian is a weak player, not played many hands though.

Normally i' fold PF but Villian posted OOP an had to put in like BB+SB so their was $5 of blinds in pot already.

Also im obv not gonna do this everytime, but i thought id do it to mix it up... good or bad?

his river bet indicate he might suck. if he just kinda sucks, this is fine, a call might be better but this is fine.

a lot of people will snap call a Q here though.

while this is true, its 1/2 and the guy made a tiny river bet so unless he's thinking enough to induce a bluff c/r here (lol), its more likely hes on the drooler side of the fence.

i'd rather c/c than this. What are you trying to fold him off?

When i made this bet i was like 80% he was a total donk and not a thinking player at all.

When i saw his bet i figured he's either trying to induce a raise or he's weak. And i seriously doubt he's trying to induce a riase.

I played with this same villain on another table before he moved to our table, and if he had a Jack he would have called. He was a complete drooler.
