Default NLCASH $200, Ace-high in a re-raised pot

Very new to the table, no reads on villain.

Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $1/$2 Blinds - 2 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

Hero (BB): $200.00
SB: $433.10

Preflop: Hero is dealt A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
SB raises to $6.00, Hero raises to $20.00, SB calls $14.00

Flop: ($40) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero bets $30.00, SB calls $30.00

Turn: ($100) 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero checks, SB bets all-in for $383.10

I have $150 behind.

What hand could possibly do this?

His range may lean very much towards bluffs to make this shove but the problem with this spot is that a lot of the hands he thinks he is bluffing with actually have you in bad shape. His "bluffing" range could well include a lot of 1 pair hands that you need to improve against.

This is far too marginal a spot to be getting stacked with IMO. Also if he is bad enough to be shoving here without a hand he will surely offer up many more profitable spots than this one down the line.

Just think that if he is making a retarded shove with a hand like 55 here and you call and miss your outs he might immediately leave the table, as they often do. Not only have you then stacked off with ace high but you have lost a customer who you were massive +EV against.

I totally agree with all of this. Villain could very easily be shoving 66 trying to push you off something. I think the most important point is that especially HU, someone this spewy is very likely to hand you their stack on a silver platter if you're a bit more patient.

if you are so worried about him bluffing/floating you why don't you double barrel. not a terrible board to do it plus metagame and all that bs.

Because I'm perfectly capable of calling that turn shove, which is why I like value-checking.

I really think double barreling in 3bet pots is spew.

Double barreling is a spew, you cant call without reads IMO its just too far from what Id expect from a typical villain.

// Oops, didn't see the previous post which I pretty much repeated.

Btw, can you think of any hand other than QJ that you are beating?

MasterLJ I actually saw you at the tables yesterday for the first time since I was aware of your FullTilt SN. The one and only note I had on you was

"Can get stubborn with Ace high in re-raised pots"

I loled a bit when I saw that after this thread. Guess I read you good!!
