Default Preseason NFL Picks

After following crackpot's MLB picks since June and hating myself for it (no fault of his as he had a great run for most of the first half of the year), I decided to focus on the NFL using my own method. I am still creating my regular season methodology, but am set for the preseason. Keep in mind, though I have done some fairly extensive research, the preseason picks are based almost exclusively on qualitative information.

That said, the pick for Hall of Fame game tomorrow is...

NO Saints +3 (4)

Care to share some of the qualitative information that led you to this pick? Not saying I agree or disagree, just curious.

Picks based primarily on the following:

Injuries.
Coaches motivation.
Predicted QB rotation.
Individual position competition. (The number and intensity.)
Last year's record.
Home v. away.

how do you assign qualitative values to coaches motivation

this is professional football, every team wants to win every game as much as the other

If anything I would think the Steelers have more of a coaches motivation. Tomlin has already been trying to instill how tough he is. He might over extend some of his starters. Sean Peyton took it easy last preseason, I would imagine he would this preseason as well.

Also betting on Preseason games always seems bad to me.
