10-10-20 NL Live - Top 2 on turn spot
Villain is a guy I haven't played with before, is young and seems to have good values. Table has been standard so far and I've only been sitting for about 30 minutes. Have not seen villian play in any big pots.
Villain has about 3500 and I cover. Anyhow, to the action. Villain opens for 100 from MP, 2 LP callers, and I call from BB with K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Flop comes Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. I check, villain bets 300, the 2 LP fold and I call 300. Turn brings K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. I check, villain bets 600. Thoughts on my flop play and what I should do on turn would be appreciated. |

Well it sounds like your kind of describing villan has a standard TAG. I think C/R kind of sucks because at best your hoping for AA to make a bad call. I check/call here and value bet river.

Re: 10-10-20 NL Live - Top 2 on turn spot
Flop c/r sucks IMO because if Villain bets into three callers and still gets raised, I don't think he's calling with less than KQ.
A big (close to pot) value bet on the river is probably best; although it's unfortunate that JT got there and you can't rep a busted draw, he's probably going to reason that JT should have raised turn. I don't like to pay off river bets like that lightly when I've shown aggression all the way, but my opponents seem to. |
