Sat down at a table tonight with an absolutely maniac and lost a couple buy-ins vs. him. His range was so wide it made playing nearly impossible.
How do you overcome this sort of play? He called nearly every raise preflop with hands from 28o-AA and everything in between. It makes continuation bets nearly useless as he floats EVERY flop. Chases backdoor flush draws to the river and usually wins. Anyways, just looking for whatever general tips you can provide. This isn't a bad beat post, though I did suffer many, I just wanted to get some insight on proper play vs these opponents. |

take him to valuetown.
Treat TPTK as a monster and bet, bet, bet for value. Don't get crazy because of his raises, wait for a real hand and stack this donkey. I would also prefer to c/c or c/r many hands, if he likes to bluff/float. |
