i really dont mind it at all, you even have extra outs if he has a better J, and depending on what you've seen i'd say [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img][img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] is a huge part of his range.

he played like a maniac the last hands and it was very hard to fold a toppair vs this player.

but ok fold would be better he had 2s :P.

Generally bad, but almost entirely read based (and by read I don't mean PT numbers). Without more information than what you're provided in the OP though I don't like it.

If you don't want to call this as played I would just check/call flop and call him down (which isn't a bad line anyway tbh).

I'd snap call vs this opponent. If I'm beat I'd expect to see an overpair.
