Eh, I think you played this ok though you are like never good on the river.
His hand looks exactly like a flopped flush. I'd usually pass up the odds and consider folding the river. |

Re: 22/180: TopPair + 2nd nutflushdraw on 3 suited board
C/C the turn might allow AcX to see a free card, so I don't think that is a good play.
Your turn bet is fine, I might bet a little more (200ish). His raise is puzzling, it could be a flush, two pair, or just a pair of queens. I can't see a hand we beat raise the turn, then betting on the river. I would call the turn raise and check/fold the river if a Q/K or club do not show up. If we improve to trips, two pair, or a flush, I'm value betting and calling a push. |

Looks fine, I can see what people are saying about the river, but there's no way I'd be able to fold when playing the hand getting 4:1.

@illini: Why are you inclined to go broke on the river if you improve to trips or two pair. Most hands that have us beat already, will have us still beat.

[ QUOTE ]
@illini: Why are you inclined to go broke on the river if you improve to trips or two pair. Most hands that have us beat already, will have us still beat. [/ QUOTE ] I'm more inclined to go broke if we improve because: 1) If a Q hits, we still might be behind to a boat, but we now beat something like 76 that might have called the flop and led the turn. 2) If a king hits, we are now firmly ahead of all two-pair hands. 3) If a club hits (which is what we are rooting for), we take the pot over all flushs, except the nut flush. Obv, we are rooting for a club, but I think I go broke on a K, and maybe a Q as well. You aren't dead in the water on the turn, you still have a good # of likely outs. That's why I don't mind calling the turn raise, even though we are likely behind at this point. |
