Calling situation?
Just curious if the field narrows down to 2-3 and everyone limps except one player, and you are holding 4,7,X
X being 10 or higher do you limp if you brought in? Razz ($0.25/$0.50), Ante $0.05, Bring-In $0.10 (converter) 3rd Street - (1.40 SB) Seat 1: xx xx T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]___folds Seat 2: xx xx 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]___calls Seat 3: xx xx 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]___folds Hero: 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]___brings-in___folds Seat 5: xx xx J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]___folds Seat 6: xx xx 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]___completes Seat 8: xx xx T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]___folds 4th Street - (3.80 SB) Seat 2: xx xx 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]___bets Seat 6: xx xx 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]___calls 5th Street - (2.90 BB) Seat 2: xx xx 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]___folds Seat 6: xx xx 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]___bets Total pot: (2.90 BB - $1.45) |

Re: Calling situation?
No. Unless you're in a really psychotic structure, always fold your bringin unless it's a steal situation.
(A psychotic structure being something like the Party .50/1 stud games used to be: .25 ante, .25 bringin.) |

even if you are bringing in with an 8 on a low board and have A2 in the hole? This has happened to me [/ QUOTE ] If you bring in with (A-2)-8, feel free to fold, call, or raise if the action comes back to you. Any of the three options may be correct depending on the situation. |

even if you are bringing in with an 8 on a low board and have A2 in the hole? This has happened to me [/ QUOTE ] Sorry, you're right. I should have said any typical bringin defense situation. I've brought in at a mostly full table with (A3)6 before, and obviously I didn't fold it. Hands you would play from the field are fine. ETA: For me, the border on whether a hand qualifies as ok to defend with in such a spot is if it makes a hand on fifth and villain catches a brick, it should be ahead. So you can defend a roughish 9 against (xx)8, but not against a wheel card. |

[/ QUOTE ] If I have two wheel cards in the hole, and one player completes, I'm Heads Up and I call. Not two players ever unless they both have 8 or better up. <font color="red">Warning: I am new to Razz and while doing okay at it right now, may crash and burn at any moment.
