What did I do wrong

Hi all, I was wondering on people's perspectives on the following hand. I had been playing at this table under an hour, villian appears tight and hasn't reraised PF. At the time this hand took place it was getting late and I was starting to lose concentration. Please excuse the betting that has taken place, as after reviewing it I see some improvements could be made.

With a weak bet on flop I was called by Villian (BTN), I initially thought he had a hand like KQ or a set, but thought he would have raised with a hand like JJ on such a dangerous board. Like I said, he tended to call rather than raise so a set was still a possibility. The turn gave me 2 pair, but also a hand like KQ would have made a straight. Villian makes a tiny bet, probably realizing I don’t have a straight as I would have bet in this spot, but there are still 2 flush draws but a set is also definitely going to call so this bet seems strange to me. River gives me a FH, but also 3 spades on board. I make a value bet and to my surprise I am raised. I then look back and think maybe he flopped a set and my FH is beaten. I did not believe I would be raised with J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] considering the texture of the flop. I deciede to call and my hand holds up.
