Default pretty awful river spot with AJo

live game.

4 limpers. SB raises. SB plays pretty tight but not rockish.I call in BB with AdJc. Limpers call.

Flop is J26 two spades. SB checks (lol?), I bet, all the limpers call, SB calls (LDO).

Turn is a spade rag. I bet planning on folding to a raise. Nobody raises though. 2 of the limpers still call, and the SB calls again. 4 to the river.

River is a red T. SB leads. ZOMG?

(ok lets also get this out of the way...who hates preflop?)

Preflop is standard.

Flop is good. I have no idea why you are making fun of SB's play though.

Turn is good.

Call river.

if u have a read i would be 3betting the pf raise.. but im pretty sure u wont fold n e one out so i think pf is pretty standard.

i sometimes check in the SB with AA-QQ on the flop and see where the most value is.

i think we have to call the river but theres a huge chance were beat we just cant lay this down it could be SB makin a desperation bet but i think were beat.

PF I probably fold. AJ oop vs a raise sucks, I don't care how many limpers there are.

River--I think this is raise or fold. With 2 left to act after you and a huge 14BB pot I would lean towards raise and puke.

I don't like a river raise because you just arnt' going to get somebody with a flush or two pair to fold. Folding is terrible.

PF: I call.
Turn: I bet
River: I call, and curse when SB has 10x10 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Did you miss that hero is the BB?

Ugh, this is not close to "raise or fold" and this is yet another example of why I joke that that phrase should be added to the swear filter.

btw I'm surprised no one has mentioned ATs as a possible hand for SB

Raising sucks, since no better hand is ever folding to this raise, and no worse hand is ever calling this raise.

I 3-bet preflop in mid limit games. I'm not sure if I do it at small stakes.

I can probably fold this river with 2 people behind me and the pot being relatively small. I think this is close enough that I'm calling if it's 3 to the river or definitely if the board is paired with the 2s.

NVM. Pot is bigger than I remembered. Showdown. If this pot is smaller I can fold.
