Default NL25 - AQs

Villain is 14/12/0 over 41 hands.

I was really confused by this guys play. Especially after he 4 bet me PF then checked flop. Do you think I should have bet the turn after 2 checks? Do I value bet this or just be happy to get a cheap showdown?

This really looks like the villain has JJ or TT. I think you left money on the table on the river. Also I think you should have put out a probing bet on the flop, but Im ok with doing it on the turn after 2 checks.

This guy is VERY passive though so he could be sitting on AA or KK, but you can't plat scared.

Bet flop, bet turn, bet river. Not really sure why you're checking the flop here - if he has a monster, then tough luck, as in most cases he will have a lower pocket than yourself.

This is why I played it like I did. As passive as he has been I dont think he 4-bets PF with JJ or TT OOP.

He didn't 4-bet pf, he 3-bet, there's a big difference. As played, I'd bet about 1/3-1/2 pot on the river.

Played okay, I guess small value bet on the river would be good, however check looks fine too. JJ/TT isn't most often in that nit/passive players oop 3-betting range.

I'd bet the flop here.
You have a nice hand. Take it down here if you can.
If he raises significantly, consider letting the hand go.

If he calls, you can check turn for pot control
Agreed as played possible value bet the river.

Comments about whether to bet the flop or not here?

Why / why not?

Fold PF to 3b. Flop check good. Turn bet a bit bigger. Check behind river is marginally OK if you've seen him have any trickiness/weak tightness to him. He's probably got JJ.

Looks like JJ, maybe TT or AsKs. QQ+ I think is going to lead out. You may have missed a little value, but I'd bet more on turn.
