Good fold but I just call the flop and see what he does. Pot control, position, draw heavy board, etc.

Do you call a pot-sized or lower bet on a blank turn, and raise or bet a blank river (no flush card)?

Whenever I call in this kind of position I seem to get myself in trouble by not knowing how to handle the rest of the hand.

The frustrating thing is that this could easily be another AK. However, that's only 6 combos, and a call versus that hand also only salvages $17 for you. Meanwhile, you're practically drawing dead versus 88/77, which is 6 combos, and it costs you pretty much the full $24.20 to call against that. Meanwhile, a big draw is possible, but then again so are the 4 preflop sandbagged combos of AA and KK.

So I think it's an annoying fold to make but a good one.

It also seems relatively close to me, since there is some chance Villain is getting out of line with KQ or something.

Hero's hand is well-defined and villain doesn't care so he's either a spewtastic idiot or has AK smoked. Fold is fine.

Don't raise the flop if you don't plan to call he shove in general. Deep, calling is certainly better than raise/call.

A lot of people are saying 'call the flop; keep it small; etc' So, I am also curious about what our turn play is when if/when we get bet into again say ~pot, esp if it is 3-flush.

ez fold if thet flush hits the turn. If we had the A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] it would be close...
