Default Wise laydown or big mistake?

Villain is a solid Player. I have been aggressive the last rounds and won a lot of pots.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

CO ($30.10)
Button ($13.40)
SB ($9.45)
BB ($12.50)
Hero ($33.50)
MP ($25)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
Hero raises to $1, 3 folds, SB raises to $2, 1 fold, Hero calls $1.

Flop: ($4.25) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $2, SB raises to $7.45, Hero folds.

Final Pot: $8.25

I have a bad feeling about that. Thanks for your advice.

edit: I don't really know anymore why i made the flop bet

I check the flop and fold preflop most of the time (I know his 3b size is measly but we have pretty much the worst hand for 3bet pots)

I think that bet/folding the flop sucks, if you think he's prone to bluffing than betting could be OK, but otherwise I'd just check and keep the pot smallish in this WA/WB situation.

I like a flop check better because no reasonable hand will call you off if you bet here. You are either so far ahead or so far behind that betting here has almost no value. It is necessary here to ignore the thought of "ZOMG TRIPS" because what is important is his hand.

I think you are ahead here a lot of the time.

He is the smaller stack on the table. Call his raise.

Yeah, this is a fantastic flop to check if you donīt want to call a push. Also, you canīt really call his rr pf.

Mistake

I at least call. Do u think he plays KK or a better Ax this way? Any solid player doesn't c/r a flop like this after min-raising PF ... I think he was going after you for being so aggressive in the previous hands.

Edit: Just checked stack sizes and I say you can just push this on the flop. I dont see how you can lay down trips here. You either win or its a cooler for a little pot.

I'm going to have to disagree with you there ... a minraise is just like a check/call. With ATs in position you can easily call his PF raise.

Solid players don't minraise preflop either.
