Default Limit for Clearing Bonus\'

I have never played limit nor have I studied up on it.

I may be asking very very basic questions so excuse my ignorance.

I saw a few posts of people playing limit in order to clear bonuses. Why is this so? Is it because there is less variance or you can play more tables making ABC decisions?

Also, Is limit as profitable as NL?

Thanks Guys.

You are probably better asking this in the Internet Bonuses forum or you can probably get more info in Affilates/Rakeback too, this is a strategy forum.

As far is "Is limit as profitable as NL?". I could ask you are oranges as tasty as apples?

You probably won't get a definative answer to your question. There probably isn't one.

IMO, NL is probably jucier right now due to TV, WSOP and all that jazz. Of course, if you are a LHE player, LHE is more profitable, if you are a NLHE player, NLHE is more profitable.

Limit has more expected variance than NL, at least when comparing two players of equal skill in their respective games. And any edge that you hold against your opponents will be magnified in a NL game, because you can force (or allow) those opponents to make larger mistakes.

I think the reasons that so many people prefer to play LHE when clearing bonuses vs. NLHE are:

-It's easier for most beginning to mid-level players to multi-table LHE, thereby clearing the bonus faster.
-The rake cap (which generally influences how quicly you clear the bonus) is usually a higher amount in LHE than in its equivalent NL stakes.
-Limit is an easier game to become proficient at (or in other words, to get to a point where you can beat expect to beat your opponents).
-Many people erroneously believe that limit is a lower-variance game.
