Pretty easy fold, especially if he 3bets a standard range preflop.

He wants to get it in, and if hands like AA, KK and QQ are discounted, you're doing really poorly against hands he wants to get it in with.

- you beat a bunch of combos but its a fold, unless his background says otherwise.

I say fold, your hand looks strong(not a good 2barrel turncard) and hes still c/ring

This is a pretty interesting hand, but not in the sense it's presented. It's a tough spot for sure, but imo the interesting discussion to be had here is around what observed opponent characteristics would lead us to call, raise, or fold here. Because all are legitimate options against the right opponent.

While his line is slightly scary here, for many players i'd be suspicious of the checkraise simply because that line risks giving a free card on a draw heavy board. Unless I'm already pimping the straight here as the villian, I kind of feel like I need to bet the turn with any other hand that beats your 2nd-3rd pairs in order to charge the many draws that are out there. Your villain's range here certainly includes the flopped straight, sometimes but not always (maybe not even often?) includes sets, and probably doesn't often include a bigger two pair. if your opponent makes this play with air with any frequency, plus the draw possibilities, the range is not as ugly as it might seem at first.

The important questions here are
1) with what frequency does your villian check-raise, especially on the turn?
2) when villian has check-raised (especially the turn), and there's been a showdown, what types of hands have been shown?

If you're constantly seeing villain try to pressure you with aggression, or if their aggression has been shown to be draws or air, you can't let this go.

If there's not enough history in the match to answer these questions, I suppose you can only go based upon the frequency with which the opponent has tried to build big pots. If they're going at it enough to suspect they are capable of this play with draws or air, I don't see how you can fold this.

IMO it's only a fold against a rockish player. Against most opponents I play, I'd stack off on the turn. And yes, I'd get rolled sometimes.
