Default Etiquette Question

At the Rio, WSOP, little 2/5 NL cash game. I check raise a guy all in with a pair of tens on a board of T73. He reluctantly calls showing QQ and sighs, I know you've got a set, don't you?

I tell him yup and he drops his head -- I'm drawing dead to perfect perfect, so at least I can fool with the guy. On the river with no hope, I show him the T9, he smiles and says "you got me". I smile and call for chips.

Little guy in seat 10 asks "have you been playing at the tables before?" I say yes, I'm mostly a live cash player, and he says "man, that is really rude -- really bad etiquette" --

I call him a twerp and to mind his business. He tells me its the same as slowrolling. I thought it was a little needle that the guy could enjoy while he's raking in my chips because of my bad play...i also thought it was the opposite of slowrolling.

What do you think?

Miscalling your hand is seriously not cool. If the guy mucks his hand before you show your T9 the dealer has to award you the pot. You might have done it in jest; but most times it's people angle shooting trying to get you to muck before tabling your hand.

you're right - a 9 would've done it too, in retrospect, probably should've just showed down and shut up
