Default Offshore bank account with PO Box in foreign country-any benefit?

Let's say I set up a bank account outside of the USA, say a Swiss bank account and get a PO box or an address at a UPS store in that country where the mail could be sent, but then request the bank to send all statements in digital format to an email address.

Would this be enough to establish a credit card or other funding option so that the card would not be restricted from making deposits and receiving payouts from gambling websites?

Could I cash out quicker from places like Bodog, Full Tilt and Pokerstars?

Would this allow me to set up an account on Party Poker?

Are there any benefits to doing something like this or am I just doing a lot of work for nothing.

I think you still couldn't play on the Non US sites because ur IP address would still show that you are from the USA. I think their is away tho to get around that.

that's a start, but getting a foreign bank account and credit card is a lot harder than you might think. you also need a foreign IP via VPN/proxy, which isn't too tough if you know the right people.

My primary motivation is to create a more stable and trustworthy funding/cashout source.

Assuming I could do this, would this be beneficial when playing on the sites still available to Americans?

Ideally, I'd like to be able to set up a credit card (Visa/MC) on this foreign account that isn't restricted from funding sites because the card is not US based or linked to a US bank account.

Wishful thinking?

It might work, but you're looking at a few thousand dollars to setup an offshore corporation in the first place. Not sure if that's worth it for you.

If you are happy just playing at US friendly sites, then the only value of a foreign bank account would be that you could move your money about with a lot less hassles and fees (other than those generated by setting up and maintaining the account). The PO box would be unnecessary in that case.

If you want to try and play at the non-US sites, you will need a street address instead of a PO box and some way to mask your IP address.
