5/10 , 99 simple/standard vs LAG
No Limit Hold'em Ring Game (6 max) , 6 players
Blinds : $5/$10 Stacks: UTG : $982 MP : $1057 (Hero) CO : $1462 BTN : $3046 SB : $990 BB : $315 Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is MP with 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] UTG folds, Hero raises to $35, CO folds, BTN calls, 2 folds. Flop: 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($85, 2 players) Hero bets $64, BTN calls. Turn: 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($213, 2 players) Hero ... Villain is very LAG, like 40/30 or so, definitely very aggro, very floaty, thinks he can take advantage of "nits". Seems pretty decent so far but I don't have enough hands to really know yet if he's a good LAG or a spewLAG. Do you bet, check-call, or check-raise ? (I can see arguments for all 3) If you bet, do you call a raise? If you check-call, what do you do on a :eheart: river? How about an A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ? |

Re: 5/10 , 99 simple/standard vs LAG
I like a c/c. I think a lead is bad b/c he will bet with worse more often they he will call with worse.
I don't think a c/r for value gets paid on this turn card. |

yeah, I think cc is best unless someone can come up with a very convincing reason.

Re: 5/10 , 99 simple/standard vs LAG
Hmm, yeah, okay, I c-c turn and river, he had some pure air which spiked a higher card on the river and I paid off his river half pot. When that happens I always wonder if I should've gotten more aggro to defend my pot more. I hate going passive against LAGs and letting them valuetown with Q2 when they spike a Q, but c'est la vie.

Maybe a small bet on the turn to induce a raise, you know he's dieing to rep that 7.

Re: 5/10 , 99 simple/standard vs LAG
I he always bluffs river it I like a c/c on both turn and river.
If he gives up river unimproved I c/c turn. If he plays the river good(bluffs e good percentage) I minraise turn and mix up my play here with both AK kind of hands and hands like 88-TT. A 40/30 should 3b all higher pockets or good aces pre because that is what they do. I think you are a huge favorite on this board when the flop comes and you gain most equity if he gets a chance to bluff. If he floats a lot bet more on flop and cr tu AI is also a good plan. A tu AI cr now will not be good since he will call with all hands that beat you and fold the others. |
