Default Persons Per room in vegas hotels?

I'm just wondering, Im going to vegas with some family we have four people and are going to get one room. Is it necessary to tell them you have four people when you book it? This increases the price dramatically where as if you just book as two people it's alot less. Just wondering if anyone has dealt with this or knows if it would be a problem. thanks

Have you tried doing two different searches for this at a booking web site for the hotel, one with 2 people, one with 4?

Most places will let you choose the bedding arrangement you want (though they don't guarantee it). Then just check in and get the number of keys you need.

The bedding arrangement isn't the issue I can select two queens no matter how many people but as soon as i put the drop down box to 4 people the price nearly doubles per night. Wondering if i can just put two people and have no issues? :/

Yeah they really jack it up for extra people in hopes that you'll just book another room.

My parents said I was 12 from the time I was 12 until I was 20. When my friends and I go on trips there's always "two" of us in the room, we just have to juggle the two keys. They don't seem to care about it, and most resorts only need to flash 1 key for every group that enters the room tower.

So you'd reccommend just boooking it for two and juggling the key issue like you said?

brett,

I'd recommend booking for two and then when you're there ask for a couple of extra keys.

Just book for two and add extra keys. 100% this will not be a problem.

I usually need an extra key or two even when I am not trying to juggle keys. Drinking + Vegas = lost keys.
