Default PT problem yet again

wont let me inport any more. had the same problem last night then i did a one step compact and it worked fine for teh rest of teh night. had same problem today and keeps saying that there is an error.

nothing is documented in the error log.

says records can not be added. no insert permission on hand histories.
the hand trying to be imported pops up in the error box and the whole hand history is included in it.

then says 0 hands we imported.

any ideas?

ive done another compact and repaired the DB as well

How big is the DB (ptrack.mdb)? Access (the default PT DB) has a limit of 2GB. If you compacted and then it worked for a while, you might be close to 2GB. Check out the PT Forums for how to upgrade to PostgreSQL or to create another DB.

Its really late, Dude. Heading off to bed. But go here and follow PT Pat's instructions. They should get you up and running. If you run into problems, the PT Forums are filled with posts about setting up PostgreSQL.

CB

P.S. Follow all the instructions. Don't skip steps 2-4 (a common problem). Let us know how it goes.

thanks cudjoe. i did all that and basically just had one question. the page shows one step that says leave it all default but then when going through the process the installation thing has enable contrib module and has 2 things checked. during instal the default was adminpack. which isnt on his instal help page. i left it at the default and am converting now.
