Default 8/16 - 88 spikes set on turn

Hand from a really short session awhile back. Interested to hear what the right amount of action to give on the turn here.

SB in this hand is TAG. I’ve played with him for about an hour and he has only shown down two hands, both of which were strong and he played well (IMO). There is one other solid player at the table. Everyone else in this hand is loose passive or LAG. In general, the table is playing in its typical loose / crazy fashion, although we have chopped the blinds a couple times in the last two orbits.

I limp 88 UTG, three more limpers, TAG raises from the SB, BB and limpers call. Six to the flop for two small bets. Flop is A92r and it checks around. Turn is an 8, completing the rainbow. SB bets, BB folds, I raise and everybody in between folds. SB now feigns resignation, gives a little speech to his buddy at the table (didn’t hear exactly what he said but I got the sense that it was meant to convey that he was “scared”) and 3 bets.

My action…?

if SB has a set of aces here he's played it terribly.

i dont think he does.

raise one more time and then slow down if he pops you again.

If he bets the flop, are we turbomucking?

i would... in an 18 way 8/16 pot, there's always an A... but i can be weak tight...

if he can be weak tight, u might wanna raise and pray on the flop

Way bad... I think this is closer to a fold than a raise. I'd still call down and expect to see AA.

The old act dissapointed but still raise tell is nearly 100% reliable. Since I said "nearly" I would just call down.

I think he has 99 and was hopeing somebody with an Ace would bet it for him on the flop.
