Default $16 A7s on button L7 with 12 BBs, 2.5 Raise or Shove?

PokerStars Tournament, Big Blind is t200 with t25 antes (5 handed) Converter on pregopoker.com

UTG (t3465)
CO (t2690)
Hero (t2485)
SB (t2430)
BB (t2430)

Preflop: Hero is in Button with 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
UTG folds, CO folds, Hero raises to t500, SB folds, BB raises to t2405 (All-in), Hero folds

I feel like this is a shove but I'm not at or under 10 bbs-close tho, I hate to play the hand this way but obv have to fold to the shove... ok? is 10 bbs a strict line? For the record, SNGWiz has it as a +EV push

Just push especially w/ antes.

whoops didn't notice the antes because of multitabling, agreed that makes it a push... but you'd feel the same way even w/o em I take it? And if so, where's the line where you raise 2.5 versus shoving?

I still like a push w/out antes. 12-13BBs is another general cutoff for just pushing. When you have a stack like this you want to figure out if you want to get played back at. In this case, no. However, if we have something like AQ or TT we want them to try and resteal w/ lesser holdings.

You can keep 10BB as a "strict line" as you say, just change your view of reality a bit and it's all good...

If you raise and find yourself forced to fold you are now <10BB. So in this situation 12BBs is a raise bound virtual 10BB, and shoving is fine. Or something like that...
