Default roulette home game need ideas!

ok so i just got a nice roulette wheel and such and me and my friends enjoy playing it and want to figure out how to play without 1 individual house as all of us want to play and also none of us just wants to really chear against the others like being house would

we were thinking about a few ideas like 4 people buyin for 5 dollars and get 100 chips and first to get to like 600 chips wins the 20 dollars or start over once everyone loses or also each person buys in as the house for 30 or so dollars for the house and then we buyin for say 5 dollars in the real game and play like that so each person would pay a portion of winnings and also the house purse would likely grow and it would be substainable...anyone else have ideas?

You should have one person be the house and cheer against the others like the house would.

I like your ideas however a roulette tournament just seems too long, boring and drawn out, there is nothing to force the action. Perhaps you have a forced blind, every couple of minutes the minimum bet goes up. Least one standing or first one to 600 wins.

Well, no matter what, if you are betting on different numbers than your friends, you will always be rooting against each other. You can have everyone take a turn at being the house, although a bad spin can be extremely expensive for whoever is playing the house when it hits. I think the best idea is to hold roulette tournaments, but instead of 'first to make 600 chips,' make the tournament last a predetermined number of rounds, and whoever has the most chips at the end wins. Tournaments should be fun, because there is both a large amount of luck (obviously, from the spins) as well as skill (not so obviously, by making the appropriate bet size choices at the right times) involved.
