Flop: ($0.55) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (5 players)
BB bets $0.4, UTG folds, MP folds, CO calls $0.40, Hero raises to $1.6, BB folds, CO calls $1.20.

CO checks, Hero checks.

River: ($4.15) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
CO bets $2, Hero folds.

Final Pot: $4.15

I know the fold is lame, but the only hand I could put him on was a flush. Unless he was slowplaying AA or KK.

thoughts?

Hehe.

He could have: A5, K5, 66, 77, 88, 99, 32, 53, 52, A4... Could it be a flush? Yeah. Could it be many many other things? Hell yeah.

"but the only hand I could put him on was a flush"

Why???

If you are going to fold here why are you playing 54s in the first place????? Villain does not even have a full stack...Get all the chips into the pot...

u lose too much value if u fold here. his range includes many hands other than bigger flush especially given his 1/2pot river bet. he could have 2p,set,str8 as well as bigger flush. just bet turn and get value out of ur hands. as played, i would call river.

I agree that it looks like Villain is quite likely drawing on the flop, and you'd think diamonds would be a bigger part of his range than 4x. But I think Ax is entirely possible (he could like his implied odds, or maybe he has a pair plus a draw with, say, 65), and he could also be slowplaying or finding himself being strung along on the installment plan with something he didn't really intend to play for $1.6 on the flop.

Anyway, I wouldn't raise the river, because Villain could have whiffed on a turn checkraise and I don't think he'll have a hand worth calling with often enough to make up for the times he has a bigger flush. But I think it's an easy call.

Bet turn. Whether I raise on river depends on the opponent but I fire more often than not. Opponent can't reraise (he has half the pot left) and I think at these stakes he calls with plenty of crap you beat unless you have reason to believe otherwise.
