Re: NL 10 - did I play this way wrong?
A flop bet is good because people will chase with one-card flush draws and with straight draws and sometimes will hope their diamondless KJ is best.
The turn is fine, but if we had bet the flop and had gotten called, we could bet bigger than $0.5 on the turn. On the river, jeez, was Villain really playing two pair or a set this passively the whole way up until now? I guess it's possible, but a slowplayed AdXd seems like a bigger concern. I guess just calling might be the sensible thing. I mean, we are facing an ambush raise, our hand is far from the nuts, but worse flushes, flopped straights, and rivered trips will probably call a push, and I think that's enough to make the 3-bet push for value. I might be more definite about that, but the tone of the post suggests to me that you lost, and that could be influencing me. |
