$25 JJ reraised preflop (short stack)
Generally i don't play short stack. I happened to just be heads up in a sng and must of forgot to rebuy to the max.
Villain is 40/15/5.33 over 47 (at the time of the hand) do you ever call in this situation? I can see someone like this with a range from 88+ A10+ so we are ahead of a good bit and a flip vs a good bit. Help me out please. Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.10/$0.25 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter) SB: $24.75 BB: $15.75 Hero (UTG): $13.20 MP: $26.15 CO: $22.35 BTN: $24.20 Preflop: Hero is dealt J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (6 Players) Hero raises to $1.00, 3 folds, SB raises all-in to $24.75, BB folds, Hero |

tiger_hall you have some serious misunderstandings about poker, this quote especially stood out:
[ QUOTE ] i know we have an advantage but IMO it isnt the time to risk valuable chips in a worthless pot [/ QUOTE ] this isn't a tournament, each chip is as valuable as the next and there are very very verrrry few situations you shouldn't take a +EV play in a cash game. also, it's no longer a worthless pot once the guy shoves. there's like 30BB or whatever in the pot that can be ours! if you feel you have an advantage over his range in this situation (and i agree that we do) there is absolutely NO reason to fold. |

Re: $25 JJ reraised preflop (short stack)
If that's his range, it's a clear call. It can be quite a bit tighter and a call too.
Half a stack, I think I'm always going with JJ -- whether I'm short for whatever reason or my villain is. I think this can be heavily weighted towards AK. AA, KK raise less hoping you won't fold. |
