Default Epassporte wanting info.

I may just be paranoid but I recently opened up a new ePassporte account. I'm trying to load onto FT, my old FT account got locked and what I believe to be drained of my money by FT, but I can't be sure so I don't want to accuse. Anyways, my question is...I received this e-mail before I even tried to deposit, it wanted me to verify my card.

Dear Cardholder,

In order for us to activate your account, please follow the instructions
on the cover sheet that was sent to you. (see attachment)

For further assistance, please call our Cardholder Services Center at any
of the numbers listed below.

Regards,

Maria B.

Shortly after I received this e-mail:

Dear ePassporte Cardholder,

Please be advised that there are a number of "phishing" emails currently in circulation to capture personal information (credit card numbers, bank account information, Social Security number, passwords and other sensitive information) from unsuspecting victims. These emails are sent by Internet Fraudsters who pose as well known companies and use the stolen information to make purchases without your authorization. Please visit the following Federal Trade Commission website link for more information about "phishing" and how to protect yourself in the future:

http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/...ishingalrt.htm

For your protection, ePassporte will never ask for ANY account information via email. ePassporte will correspond with you through the internal Message Center and the only emails you may receive to your external email address are notifications of new messages in the Message Center. To access the ePassporte Message Center, please log into your account and click on the Message Center tab.

If you feel your ePassporte account information has been compromised or you suspect that you supplied any information to these fraudsters, please contact our Cardholder Services department immediately at:

US Toll-Free: 1 (877) EPASS90 [1 (877) 372-7790]
International and US: 1 (310) 301-2001
Email: cs@epassporte.com

If you receive any phishing or suspect emails claiming to originate from ePassporte, please forward them to abuse@epassporte.com immediately.

---------------------

Should I send my information from the first one? They are asking for gov. photo ID (no big deal), bank statement and credit card scan front and back. The last one worries me.

Has anyone done this or had to do it?

Thanks guys.

How about calling ePass and asking if the first one was real?

Log into ePassporte DIRECTLY.

If you call, use the number on the epassport website.
